The Home is justly proud of the highly qualified social care staff. Many qualifications are held and many staff hold several qualifications. National Vocational Qualifications (NVQs) in:

• Care - Levels 2 and 3
• Customer Service - Level 3
• Management - Levels 4 and 5

Modern Apprenticeship training is available and some staff have already graduated. Additional qualifications include:

• Catering
• Health and Safety - Fire, Lifting and Handling
• Food Handling and Hygiene

Specific Mental After Care courses include:

• NVQ Care Level 2 - Special Care Needs
• NVQ Care Level 3 - Mental Health
• N.A.P.P.I. Courses
• Psychiatric Caring Skills

Training and Development Lead Body awards including:

• Units D32 and D33 - Vocational Assessor award
